Rules and Regs

2001 Official Race City Motorsport Park
Figure 8 Vehicle Specification Rules & Regulations

A word of WARNING to FIGURE 8 STOCK CAR BUILDERS! These FIGURE 8 STOCK rules are specifically designed to keep the cost of purchasing and preparing a competitive car as low as possible. Money spent on a FIGURE 8 Stock Car should be used to make the car safer, not faster.

Figure 8 Stock Car Racing at Race City Motorsport Park is intended to provide a low-cost, fun and safe "learning experience" for the beginner driver. There are many opportunities to spend more money and time building a racecar than are required to build a Figure 8 Stock Car. CASCAR Street Stock, CASCAR Late Model and I.M.C.A. are options. If you want to build a fast racecar, DO NOT build a Figure 8 Stock Car.

Attempts to "bend" these rules or find and take advantage of a "loophole" will not be tolerated. If your car does not conform to these rules, your car WILL NOT RACE. Final decisions on anything and everything are at the discretion of the Race City Motorsport Park Tech Officials and Race Director.
